I should have posted this a while ago this is all about 1 week old. Late is better then never. On Jan 16 Gil graduated, here are some pics. When I came here to Brasil I brought 1 nice pair of clothes, good thing I did otherwise I would have to show up in shorts and flip flops.

After the graduation all of us went to a Churrascaria (Brasilian all you can eat BBQ). This one, I think it was the Alpha Grill, was pretty good. Not only did they have all you can eat meat, but pizza as well. Brasilians are crazy about pizza, but the pizza is pretty different from pizza in the US. For example they use many different cheeses and insane toppings like tuna and olives with the seed.

Gil has two dogs at his house, which stay out side to “protect” the property. Some people like to say that I hate dogs, hopefully these pics will put an end to those lies.

On one Sunday we went to Ibirapuera Park here in São Paulo. It is a pretty big park with a bunch of people on the weekends. They also have some sights inside the park, one is the Japanese Pavilion, here are a couple pics from that.

After we left the park I discovered that they named a street here after me already.

I’m not sure if I mentioned but one thing that I am gonna miss is the Açai here. I have never seen this in the US before, so I am trying to eat as much as I can while I’m here.

Is Tyson smiling in the second picture? What ever happened with those two ’stray’ dogs down the street (the ones that kept chasing cars)?..

People say that he is “smiling” in the second picture, I am not sure. As for the stray dogs, unfortunately we were not able to run them over yet. If they are still there in December when I go back I think we are going to go on the offensive with them.

    Nice pictures, Ibrahim!

After having you as my student for a few months, I can guarantee through your dedication and self-motivated behavior that you will be able to communicate and understand Portuguese far better than you did the last time you went to Brasil. Keep up with the good work!
